I have the original (non 3G) iPhone and I downloaded the new software late on Friday.

Firstly, some of the free apps do just what they say on the tin andd work very well, although some of them caused my iPhone to restart itself or just hang. This just wasn’t what I was expecting. One of the apps “Twitterrific” is fantastic - you can “tweet” away to your hearts content, also the Facebook app is great too. The “Remote” app is good too - this one let’s you use your iPhone as a remote for you iTunes on you MAC.

MOO are fantastic. They are a very reasonable printing company who print from your Flickr account or you can just upload photos.

Don’t you find that whatever you are doing, wherever you are going and whomever you are seeing, there is always a reason not to get up early. For work maybe, but everyday… and at the weekend? Who knows eh? At the weekend, people want to relax and get some sleep or more than they get on a weekday morning, although the last thing you want to do is waste your precious weekend? So, how do you compensate for having enough sleep, but not sleeping too much and ending up with a muffled head - without even drinking any alcohol the night before?

A sink, a pile of washing up and mounting dishes - what more could you want? Well, nothing more and nothing less - that is, if your dishwasher is broken. Dishwasher engineers work in the week, I work in the week. I’m around at the weekend, but the dishwasher engineers need to relax at some point and it just happens that this is when they do it. So, what am I supposed to do I hear you ask? You tell me… There’s only so many paper plates that you can eat from and only so many times you want to see the washing up. There’s always the thought of doing the washing up, but …. you are out early, in late and the last thing you want to do is face is a pile of plates! I’m not even sure that the plates don’t multiply whilst I am out … can that really happen?

How long does it take to update via Windows Update? It seems to take forever, but yes of course it depends on how much has been “ticked”, although maybe it like watching paint dry … it always takes longer. Maybe I should do the washing up?

Have you ever wondered whether you are going to turn into a grumpy old man?  There are just some many things that make you go “grrrrr“.  There’s the person I followed on the M3 on Friday who sat in the middle lane going less than 70mph.  There’s the people who don’t add the second “t” on to my name.  There’s also the postman who never closes the gate and leaves the elastic bands on our  pathway.

Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates.I’ve been using Skype for a while now - some years. I use it each day and it is so much easier to use than MSN or other IM programs.
